A Case for Flattening Your Own Curve. Medical student Jesse Smith writes about why some people get hit with Covid-19 more severely than others:

“Not all lungs are equally equipped to handle an infection of this nature. Some lungs are simply too young, their structure and function not fully developed. Some lungs are too old, the tissues broken down and fading — like the elastic strap of an old pair of socks, the recoil and integrity of the lung just isn’t what it used to be. Some lungs are ravaged by disease, either congenital or as a result of exposure.”

He also offers insight into how people can protect themselves, and “flatten the curve” for their own bodies. Read the full story below.
