Why Depression and Anxiety May Be Risk Factors for Severe Covid-19

Comorbidities are medical conditions that co-occur. They are often chronic, like diabetes and heart disease. People with these conditions can be at a higher risk of Covid-19 severity. There’s some early evidence to suggest the possibility that preexisting psychiatric diagnoses, such as depression or anxiety, could also be a risk factor for severe Covid-19.
