A few recommended tools

  • How We Feel: This new app asks people to self-report (securely) their Covid-19 symptoms in order to share that information with scientists and doctors who are tracking the pandemic. The app is launched in partnership with the CEO of Pinterest, and collaborators from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, MIT’s McGovern Institute, and more. Meals are donated to Feed America for every download of the app.
  • Symptom self-trackers: The CDC’s coronavirus symptom self-checker bot is useful, and Apple also launched a similar screening tool. They’re helpful tools for deciding what action to take if you or someone in your family is feeling unwell.
  • The Weather Channel: Yes, the popular weather site is tracking cases and deaths of the coronavirus by zip code and providing user-friendly graphics. If you want to know how many cases are in your area, click on the Covid-19 tab on the homepage and input your address or zip.
