“To Lose Your Sense of Smell is to Lose Access to Your Sense of Self.”

Anosmia—the technical term for smell loss—is a well recognized symptom of Covid-19, reports Linh Nguyen. A study found that almost 90% of those affected either recover or improve their sense of smell within a month. However, there’s a small group of people whose loss of smell persists for longer.
