What it’s like treating people with Covid-19 right now
In an interview with TuAnh Dam of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, Dr. Francesco Laterza, an internal medicine doctor at Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, described what diagnosing, treating, and caring for people with Covid-19 is like during the pandemic.

“Patients are alone. They are intubated, they are sedated, and even if they wake up a bit, no one they know or recognize is around them. It’s a very distressing situation for them, for families, and it is heartbreaking for us to see.”
