This week the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine made significant strides, including an approval and vaccine rollout in the U.K. More than 50 hospitals across England were designated as Covid-19 vaccine hubs, to implement the first round of vaccines. National Health Service staff, people over age 80, and home care residents were among the first to be vaccinated.
The first person to receive the vaccine was Margaret Keenan, 90, (above and below) who left the hospital where she was vaccinated to the cheers of staff.
My personal favorite photos are from the Covid-19 vaccination of Henry (Jack) Vokes, age 98, who underwent the process with enthusiasm.
