Doctors Are Finding YouTube Fame During Coronavirus
Before the coronavirus pandemic, as writer Andrew Zaleski reports for OneZero, Dr. Franz Wiesbauer’s YouTube videos would rack up a few hundred views. But a video he uploaded earlier this month about symptoms of the coronavirus was viewed more than 700,000 times. While many people are turning to federal and local officials during the pandemic, “a surprising number are also turning to people like Wiesbauer, tuning into YouTube, and devouring once-obscure medical programming. Doctor YouTube is now, it appears, all the rage,” writes Zaleski.
