- Big Tobacco giants Philip Morris International and British American Tobacco have joined the race to find a vaccine for Covid-19, Bloomberg reports. Though tobacco might not be the most obvious candidate for dealing with a debilitating respiratory illness, scientists from these companies say the crop can be used to generate plant-based vaccines.
