USNS ‘Comfort’ has arrived in New York City to provide coronavirus relief
A Navy hospital ship with 1,000 beds and 12 operation rooms is arriving in New York City on Monday to help alleviate hospitals. The ship, called USNS Comfort, will be used to treat people without Covid-19 while local hospitals focus on treating people with the disease, the New York Times reports. It also has radiology suites, a CAT scanner, and a pharmacy and will be run by 1,100 medical staff, which include mostly active duty service members.
