Most people think of public school when it comes to immunization requirements, but higher education institutions are increasingly considering requirements beyond the usual vaccines required in public school. [Dorit Reiss, PhD, professor of law at the University of California Hastings Law School] mentioned a recent case in which a judge ruled that a college’s flu vaccine requirement was constitutional, though, again, it may only be so after a vaccine has received full Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.
