Are pregnant women considered high risk? Studies thus far have suggested that pregnant women with Covid-19 are not at increased risk for complications when compared to the general population. However, some data indicates that pregnant women may indeed be at a higher risk when compared to nonpregnant women of the same age group. Because more studies are needed, the CDC currently includes pregnant women on its list of people who need to take extra precautions to avoid exposure to SARS-CoV-2.
