Bill Gates Is on a Quest to Vaccinate the World

The New York Times reports that Bill Gates is working with drugmakers, nonprofits, and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure that the world’s poorest nations have access to vaccines to prevent Covid-19.
“Some people will say, ‘Why should it be him?’” Ariel Pablos-Méndez, MD, PhD, former director of knowledge management at the WHO told the Times. “He has the star power. He has the resources. He cares. There are many players that do things, but not at the scale of Gates.”
